Alissa Czyz is a Director in GAO’s Defense Capabilities and Management team. She oversees GAO’s work on strategic warfare, intelligence, and government-wide personnel vetting.
Alissa joined GAO in February 2004. She has spent most of her career in the Defense Capabilities and Management team where she has managed reviews on a wide-range of national security and defense issues. Alissa also spent over two years as an Acting Director in the Strategic Issues team where she led a portfolio on federal workforce issues and organizational performance management.
Alissa earned an MA in communications from American University. She earned a BA in English from Knox College.
