Jason Bair is the Managing Director of GAO’s Homeland Security and Justice team. He oversees GAO’s analyses of federal efforts to strengthen the justice system to more effectively address crime, illegal drug use, illegal immigration, and judiciary and prison operations. He also oversees GAO’s work on federal anti-terrorism efforts, as well as emergency preparedness and response and recovery capacity.
Jason joined GAO in June 2000. During his career at GAO, he has worked on a variety of homeland security issues, as well as international affairs and trade topics. Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Law, Economics, and Government from American University. Jason earned a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin.
